Maintaining a safe, healthy and happy work environment will be the goal of every Western Plains Geomatics employee. Our people are our biggest asset, so by maintaining this high safety standard, we will protect our employees, their families, our clients and the Environmental (HSE) Policies.
​

Western Plains Geomatics completed and obtained our COR certification March 3, 2017, and we have recently gone thur our 3 year COR audit and and received a 98% on March 1, 2018. 

​

Western Plains Geomatics is committed to providing a healthy and safe workplace at every work site and will strive to protect the environment in accordance with applicable laws and our Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Policies.

​

Western Plains Geomatics field personnel will have had training in the following safety courses:

​

  • ATV, UTV and Snowmobile

  • Bear and Predator Awareness

  • Chain Saw Safety Enform Fallers Certificate meeting BC Fallers Standards

  • Enform H2S Alive

  • Enform Petroleum Safety Training

  • Line Locating and Ground Disturbance

  • Standard First Aid with CPR

  • Various other industry related safety training

All field staff are required to meet or exceed all of our clients specific safety requirements, including client orientations and/or any site specific regulations and rules.

At Western Plains Geomatics, we view a commitment to environmental protection crucial to our overall success as a company. To meet this commitment, Western Plains Geomatics has implemented the following standards for environmentally responsible operations:

 

  • Compliance with all pertinent laws and regulations governing the protection of the environment

  • The inclusion of environmental considerations in all aspects of job planning and field operations

  • Actively ensure that all employees are aware of pertinent environmental regulations

  • Consult with clients, regulatory agencies and outside professionals to ensure the best practices relative to environmental protection are followed

  • Establish emergency response plans where such plans are required by regulation or where the company’s work creates a potential risk to the environment

  • Report to the appropriate authorities any incidents that may have a detrimental impact on the environment.
